    Exclamation hand spacing on squats

    Hey all. Question: Should my hands be spaced out slightly more than shoulder width or even more? My shoulders hurt when its slightly past shoulder width. Thanks!

    ive seen all kinds of stuff like ronnie with his hands draped over the plates.

    i keep my middle finger on the lines. i see some guys like to hold out even further at the retainers, and i tried it once....didn't really make a difference. i think if you grip too close, it will feel pretty damn awkward.

    For me to keep my back tight I drape my hands over the bar...it helps me rember to keep my shoulder blades together...but do what works best for you.
