Hey guys, just thought i'd post a video of my recent deadlift. Ive been training for 2 years but just started dead lifting 6 months ago. I want to be a bodybuilder and I train like a bodybuilder, but heavy weight still motivates me. Is 355 good for 6months? Also how was my form and do you think i can get 400 by the end of the year?
I probably could have done 370ish but it was my 1st time maxing and i didn't want to overdue anything.

You have to put yourself first or people will put you second.

your on the right track. training like a bodybuilder means sets and reps. You have good form and your back stays straight throughout the lift, and thats great. I wouldn't max out too much, instead do as much weight as you can for 3-4 reps. That way you can still go heavy, but make the muscle work and grow. You'll be repping over 400 in no time.

looked easy, should have upped it yeterday i just got 350 x 5 and thats still not my max. but since you dont train heavy thats very respectable.

h?h? i started deadlift in march very lightly and i'm up to 450lbs now, pull 350lbs for 5-6 reps without problems. Hoping to get 550lbs before New Years eve.
On-topic: form seems good tho we can't see your upper body at lockout. I've had pretty crappy form on deadlifts most of the time till bout 2 weeks ago, getting it right. I used to jerk it from the floor a bit and almost stiff-leg it up with flexed arms ( video in my bodyspace ). Good thing that's over

I don't think there is a problem using straps, peoples grips strength varies and without straps i could not make the gains in size and strength i have done and doing 440 pounds on the deadlift for 11 (my grip sucks especially when i broke 3 bones in my hand a bit ago lol) keep up the work man u will be able to hit that 400 in no time!
