Yep, but it seems like the D has a hard time getting up for some teams. For how well they played against Philly, it doesn't make much sense that Detroit would have been in the game that long.
Anyway, a win's a win and hopefully the D will be incredibly up for NE and punch them in their mouths.
But it's also kind of nice to see the offense kind of carry the team a little bit for a change.
Also, the Bears being 9-3 means that Cutler has produced his first winning season since high school. There's an old attack the Cutler haters are going to have to retire! Sorry SpiderSenseless.

really worried about brady shredding up our secondary in a horrible way, but like you said, who knows. Not that Vick is a Brady or anything, but I really didnt think the Bears would handle Philly like they did. One thing we can at least be confident as bear fans now is being able to put points on the board, and convert 3rd downs. We can thank Martz for that, and Jay is playing like he wants it, all the confidence in the world right now. We can put up decent points on NE. Brady is a genius though.
And it's nice seeing Jay being able to play the way he plays best, he's also gotta be feeling those playoffs, and Im loving how he's turning it up when it really counts.*80 pushups before going anywhere in public crew*

Tale of two halves for the defense. They were so bad in the first half that it was simply unexplainable. Gave up 252 yards and 20 points in the first half. Under 50 yards and just 3 points (off that fumble at the 9) in the 2nd. I think they will step it up next week at home. That wasn't an embarrassing first half for them and they have pride in the D. Good thing we aren't facing a running QB.

so you're that confident the bears still wouldnt have put points on the board without those 15 yards?
ground caused the fumble anyways, Bears would have gotten the ball back. Martz called a great game and exploited the Lions weaknesses most of the game. How can you argue with that?*80 pushups before going anywhere in public crew*

We will have a hard time stopping brady... BUT if our front 4 cant get constant pressure, we will defintely be in the game with a chance to win. Lets not forget the patriots have some weaknesses on defense and we could exploit them aswell... aslong as nobody gets burned deep(tillman) and we get great pressure with the front 4... i think we can steal this one away from the heavy favorite patriots!

Oh, and i love how the Bears supposedly benefitted from another BOGUS call today on the Suh personal foul penalty. The penalty wasn't even on 3rd down, and moved the ball from the Detroit 14 ALLLLLLL the way down to the 7. Whatta huge unfair advantage!!!

Yes we do. We have all of our draft picks. it was the 09 and 10 drafts that we didn't have a first. The only thing that sucks is that this isn't a good draft class in regards to OL. We will need to bring in at least one quality FA and draft one O lineman early. I also wouldn't mind us going after Sidney Rice if he hits the open market.

Vikes in the dome without Favre might be a little scary
Didnt see the game, but they blew out Buffalo pretty good, and Buffalo is usually always in the game, damn close to beating the Steelers a couple weeks ago
should we be worried about the Vikes a little more now if Jackson is in there? Most commentators are still saying to play favre if he's healthy, I just dont get it, Jackson comes in rusty and the Vikes play their best game of the year. Doesn't that kinda tell them something???*80 pushups before going anywhere in public crew*

in my honest opinion i think the only 2 teams we should be worried about is MIN and GB.... only reason i say this is because division rival games are another beast in itself... those games no matter how the team is playing all year or no matter what the record is, its gnna be smash mouth close games.... NE and NYJ are thinkin, we are in the AFC we are elite, **** the bears.... the MIN and GB are thinkin.... we shoulda beat them before and we play them twice a year **** the bears lol..
i think we will beat MIN in the normal close game....and i think itll be super close against the packers."Si vis pacem, para bellum - If you want peace, prepare for war."

brady+our cover 2 scares the crap out of me. Our savior 'should' be that the NE secondary is supposedly pretty bad. Bears have been doing their homework very well as of late though, so we may have a surprisingly good gameplan.
and actually, I've lacked confidence with some games and been wrong, (eagles, even Detroit this time around), but for some reason im pretty damn confident we can handle the Jets. Packers really scare me in Lambeau though, and if I was forced to bet my house or something, I would unfortunately put it on GB this time around, unless Rodgers gets injured somehow.*80 pushups before going anywhere in public crew*

McDaniels fired.
But wait, I thought his best move was trading Cutler for Orton and picks? I thought it was a genius move and that Cutler was the one to blame for it all?
Finally, the truth comes out.
It's funny, because all of this could have been avoided had McDaniels not tried to be Bellicheat and pick his own QB. Instead, he pissed off his franchise QB and everything went south.
However, we should all be forever grateful to him, as if it wasn't for his stupidity, we never would have gotten Cutler.

Any thoughts on the Pats-Bears game sunday? Even tho they mopped the floor with the Jets, I think the Bears still have a solid chance to win. They have to play a near perfect game on offense tho (similar to the game against the Eagles) or they'll need a huge day from Hester or Manning on special teams. Should be a good game.

The Bears will win, and I'm not saying it as a Bears fan, I'm saying it as a football fan.
I'll take the Bears D over the Pats O, and the Bears O over the Pats D. Brady hasn't faced a front 7 like the Bears this year (nor has he for a long time) with 3 Pro Bowlers.
Pats Defense: 31st in the league in yards per game, 31st in Pass D. Cutler is going to have a field day on their DB's.
Bears by 10.

The Bears will have to play a perfect game this week to win. I mean perfect. We can't turn the ball over, not even once. And we can't go into halftime down by more than 10.
