I just started taking Flaxseed pills today and yet i'm seeing all this info on fish oil. Whats the difference if there is any? And which one is better on a High Protein/Fat, low carb diet??

I'll be reading the both of these pages in the mean time, and I will probably post again once I've decided what the main differences are.
Also, I take Fish Oils, personally (EFA) as well as CLA.

Ok, looks like the main difference, in terms of capsules, is that Flax is only Omega 3... where as Fish Oils (EFAs) tend to be atleast Omega 3 and 6, though I take one that is 3 6 and 9. (9 is not essential, but is still good for you)
In terms of liquid/rawseed, you obviously get fiber from the flax and not from the fish oil.

Fish oil. Reasoning:
there are 3 types of omega 3 fatty acids. They are ALA, EPA, and DHA
fish oil contains EPA and DHA
flaxseed oil contains ALA
The body converts ALA to EPA and DHA, but it doesn't do so very efficiently. So while ALA is good for you, directly getting EPA and DHA is better. Use a combination of both to be safe. But if you are chosing just one, go with fish oil.

flaxseed oil is meant for women because their bodies can convert it easier than a man's body...it is also geared toward vegetarians/ vegans who dont eat fish to get the efa's.
at least thats what a nutritionist told me.......=)
and ive looked it up so it definitely makes sense.
i vote for fish oil.....unless youre an herbivore.
