Oh yeah, because apparently obesity is a disease and it has nothing to do with the fast food of North America..............

It sickens me to think not only how unhealthy what most of what we call "civilized" people, from "civilized" nations", eat, but the fact that governments dont care. Quite frankly, considering what sort of profiteering monster the givernment is, if they put restrictions on dieting and stuff, and how much corn products are in foods these days, made exercise mandatory etc, put PE back in schools, they could make a ton of money off of the whole deal. If people are healthier, they live longer, so they pay more in taxes number one. They are driving more, and buying more products, so there is alot more taxes. They consume more alcohol; theres more taxes...its a win-win situation, healthier people, more money for the government. Government also gets better health ratings too. The only aspect of the economy that hurts is insurance companies, since people are healthier, their premiums go down...Besides, do we really care about big business, since its little business that makes the economy run? Funeral business would be fine, as we all die sooner or later. Now there is some food for thought.

Good points.
The fact is, we don't want to mess with the freedom of choice. So if people want to eat this stuff 24hrs a day, they can. The good thing for people who actually care about their bodies, is that they will stand out (positively) from those who make themselves obese -30-
