Why dont you plan yourself a nice diet, lift weights and do cardio to a minimum. If your diet consisted (assuming you are going for the 40/40/20 diet) and do everything at a minimal, not including your diet (cant cheat ya know..) you should be losing 1 lb of fat per week keeping on your lean muscles.------------------------------------------

I was there
I had the same dilemma. I put on some muscle, I looked pretty good but still carried about 5 extra lbs of fat. So, I started some hardcore cardio the past couple of months while maintaining moderate weight training. The fat has nearly all come off but I did lose a good amount of muscle. However, even though I'm not as strong as I was a few months ago, you still look stronger simply because you're muscles, although smaller, show a lot better. So, I wouldn't worry about losing muscle mass when trying to lose fat all that much if you're just an everyday person like me. I just want to look good.
