    Chest exercises for weak/injured shoulder.

I have developed some shoulder injury (doctor has not narrowed it down yet) from swimming, but would still like to work out my chest. Can anyone suggest chest exercises that use as little shoulder muscles as possible.
    Thank You

Decline DB presses are a pretty natural movement that doesn't put much stress on the shoulder joints.

Try doing some machine exercises. The machines should limit your stabilizing muscles and let you hit your chest a little more directly. Also, roll you shoulders back when you do the exercises. Try to invision pulling your shoulder blades toward each other and sticking your chest out. If it hurts your shoulder when you are working your chest you better leave it alone. Your shoulders, along with your knees and back, are the major parts of your body that can get messed up for life by doing one stupid thing.

i dont know what your injury is but when i dislocated my shoulder CG bench was very easy on it. get a diagnosis first though

Decline presses are the only exercise that hurts my shoulder (tore my rotator cuff a while back)...Incline seems to hurt it hte least, i guess it depends on what part of your shoulder is hurt.

dude use your head. a db pullover puts your shoulder joint at its weakest when the resistance is at its greatest. its risky enough doing these when your healthy (although i still do them) but to try and do this when your shoulder is hurt is absurd. plus it only minimally targets the chest.

First of all, I think that's one of the most useless exercises around. Also one of the most likely to injure you.
