I just dropped below the 33 inch mark on my waist and I notice my stomach fat feels weird now. Rather than feeling soft and giving, it seems more spongy.
Like if you were to touch a wet sponge with your fingers you would feel the liquid move aside to accommodate the finger's pressure. It doesn't do this in a uniform way though. It almost feel "squirty" to the touch.
Anyone know what's going on there?

Sounds like your fat layer is getting thin. Nothing to worry about.

Fat cells are emptying, you have holes if you will. Sometimes they fill up with water, get all spongy, very normal.

But congratulations! You definitely could be feeling the empty sacs. Fat cells in men are stacked like little bricks, so if some are shrinking at different rates, it might feel odd in some places.
