Things that Piss me off at the Gym...
Okay folks, this is my first blog but I needed to get this off my chest.
So there I was, having one of my best Gym days ever. Man I felt strong, confident, full of energy, and motivated when suddenly...a cell phone rang. That was enough screw up the rest of my workout. Not only was this person rude and inconsiderate for taking a cell phone into the gym, this person was loud and carried a conversation for almost ten minutes.
Guys, we need to do something about this epidemic. You may think I am blowing this issue out of proportion but the bottom line is that unless you are a doctor or a member of the SWAT team your ass does not need a damn cell phone in the gym workout area. These people with cell phones in the gym are not that important to need a cell phone while working out.
I always have left my cell phone in my locker and would never even fathom taking it on the floor, not even in my gym bag.
First of all, most of these people that we see either carrying cell phones or talking on their cell phones while at the gym are not even close to being in shape. Part of their problem is that they don?t concentrate on their workout enough to make any progress.
Which leads me to my next dilemma. Reading while doing Cardio. Okay, please correct me if I am wrong but, You ARE NOT working out hard enough if you can read a magazine or book while on a piece of cardio equipment folks. It is just impossible. Even if you were working out with enough intensity you would be failing to concentrate on your breathing and the muscles that you are using which in turn makes the workout more effective. So please, unless you are at the library or at the local coffee shop, leave the books and magazines on the rack.
And last but not least? The people who use Barbie Weights. Come on give me a break. Use a weight that it is heavy enough to actually make a difference and create some muscle stimulation. The weight has to make you breathe hard and make you sweat. Fortunately, the people who use Barbie Weights are most likely the ones on the cell phone while reading a magazine so we can narrow this epidemic to a small group of fitness buffs wanna be.
Anyhow folks, I know that I am being facetious but man it really does Piss me off. Next time you see one of these people on the phone tell me how much they pissed you off and maybe we can initiate a Bodybuilding.com support group on this subject? ha ha..
Later,

My uncle Pete comes over sometimes. One night when he was holding me, he started touching my private parts. Over time, he taught me to touch and play with his. It felt very strange, scary and a little good too. He told me it was ok, that this means he really loves me. This went on for several months. He told me, ?This is our special secret.?

I got about 5 lines in. Cell phones at the gym are no big deal. Get over it.

WTF?
Just get on with your workout and stop worrying about what others are doing. I can understand if they were doing something to EFFECT your workout (i.e. occupying a machine WHILST talking on the cellphone and taking too long) but otherwise just train and get out!
