Iowa Hawkeye fan here!
Loved that Capital One bowl a couple years ago
I don't think we will be good great this year, but we don't play Michigan or Ohio St! haha
In AZ now, so I will be watching ASU and lived in Nebraska for 5 years, so I gotta watch a couple NU games (might be interesting with Keller as QB), but prefer watching any Big 10 game.Last edited by sonvolt; 08-18-2007 at 08:29 PM.

Frankly, I'm surprised Rutgers and Boise State are in the pre-season 25. I guess it is a result of what happened last year, as most people complained they deserved a shot in the bigger bowl games. However, I doubt either team will repeat last season's performance. If anything, Rutgers may be able to but I doubt they will have under two losses.

Go Gamecocks!
We are getting ready to shake some things up this year in the SEC.
I don't have any skanky girl pics, but I hope you like this one. We grow our girls a little on the sweet side.

Go Gamecocks!!
I noticed all the favorites won their respective season openers yesterday by a combined margin of 212 to 20.
LSU over Miss St. 45 to 0
Boise State over Weber St. 56 to 7
Louisville over Murray St. 73 to 10
Rutgers over Buffalo 38 to 3
Let's hope for some better football on Saturday. I thought MSU would not completely lay down and cry uncle against LSU, but I was sadly mistaken.
Some games to watch on Saturday.
Clemson vs FSU
My gut says Tommy and his Tigers are going to get a good spanking from Daddy Bowden. Clemson is relying on a freshman QB. That is not a recipe for a great season.
Georgia vs Oklahoma St.
Georgia has a bad habit of thinking they are better than other teams and looking past them. That is why they laid eggs last year in games like Vandy and Kentucky. OK State is very physical and they can definitely hang with Georgia. You hear a lot of negativity concerning OK States defense. Watch the video link below. They have speed and they get to the ball very quickly, even if they lack some big names. They had enough on D to beat Bama, and that is no small feat, even during the Tide's recent struggles. OK State also has one of the country's best QB's leading a very potent offense. He will be on the top of the QB draft board by the end of the season. Georgia better pull up their socks or their season may be over before it even starts.

Roll Tide!
Me too. There are some other bama fans here. Wheres Jkeith? hes a big bama fan.
Why in the world are you at auburn???!!!!!
gotta be a vet school.
I graduated from THE university. We have absolutely been pitiful for the last 10 years or so. soo many problems and disasters. Im hopeful now that we have Saban. If anything our teams will at least play with a bit more confidence and tenacity and he will bring in some serious talent. **** he's already obtained verbal's from 11 of the top 20 players in AL this year. I think auburn has 1 or 2. He's a maniac recruiter.
He's as obsessed about winning as bama fans are about it so I think he will do fine and I wouldnt be suprised if we won 8-9 games this year and got a top 5 recruiting class. One thing is for sure, we wont be the SEC whipping boys anymore."Work every day to dominate your opponent. We have an opponent in this state that we will work 365 days a year to dominate. That is our goal."

After winning the super bowl in 1966 a reporter asked coach Vince Lombardi "So coach, how does it feel to be the best football team in the world?" Coach Lombardi replied, "I don't know we haven't played Alabama yet."

Haha, yeah you guys are going to have a pretty good team... I actually miss living in Bama and going to the games.... And yes I've been to T-Town before.. I hate to say it.. Great campus and stadium though..
But back to ball.. You guys will be a powerhouse again pretty soon.. Maybe not this year but in about two years...Owner of the Iron Mulisha

Im thinking 3-4 or so. He needs to get his kind of players.
Another thought: The iron bowl will be soo much better if it actually meant something. I want AU and UA to both be undefeated going into that game every year. how sweet (or devastating depending on the outcome) would that be. I hate it when we are 4-6 going into that game or like many moons ago when auburn would be down. the games were fun and good to watch but I want them to mean something more than just bragging rights. By my estimation it should be UA and AU every year competing for the division and the right to go to the SEC championship. For now its either you guys or LSU. Im still holding out hope for us but Im not expecting it by any means."Work every day to dominate your opponent. We have an opponent in this state that we will work 365 days a year to dominate. That is our goal."

I think it will be between UA and AU in about three years when you guys get up there... LSU is always on top of things.. I think they are a lock for the West this year in the SEC.. But hey, everyone thought they were a lock last year and we beat them... And also beat the National Champs... So who knows.. Auburn is one of those teams that don't play 4 quarters of football.. They need to step it up or they are going to get their asses kicked this year
