just healthy fats before bed?
would it be pointless to eat just healthy fats before bed if i didn't have an available protein source otherwise? i know that the healthy fats are there to slow down the digestion of proteins eaten pre-bed but do they have any benefits eaten by themself (before sleep)?

this is something i have always wondered as well. what if somebody were to eat just peanut butter pre-bed, etc.

I don't think it can hurt. If nothing else I find 2 tbsp of natty pb before bed kills my hunger for the night, and there's value in that.

I guess its better then nothing.
consider the fact that by itself. its an imcomplete protein source. Very insignifigant amount as well.
I would opt for a protein source with it. Even if it is whey.
I personally use casein/whey with pb anyway.

yea im kinda curious too...i mean the point of a pre-bed meal is to keep you in an anabolic state right?? i would imagine that a meal of only fats, which digest slowly, would accomplish that goal, would it not?

how about 8 brazil nuts? you get your selenium some phosporous and some magnesium along with the complete amino acid profile. it'd be 180 cals buut 170 from fat.
