Squats is a very great mass builder but it is giving me a huge @$$. The last few months since I started doing squats and deadlifts my glutes have gotten way too big. I was wondering if I should just stop doing squats and deadlifts for a while or just continue with my routine. Have you guys have had same experience. I wish my chest and arms would grow more than my butt.

A few things:
1) If your glutes are disproportionately large, I'd say it's as likely to be fat as it is muscle
2) Very few ppl who squat complain about over-developed glutes. The body tends to keep growth fairly symmetrical. If you have massive glutes I'd have to guess your quads, hams and hell the rest of you must be huge as well.
3) Women LOVE a muscular arse. Whether this matters to you or not, I thought I'd mention it...
4) Only women spend hours each day wondering "does my bum look big in this?". We should be above all that"We know Burns has the trillion dollar bill somewhere in his house, but all we've been able to ascertain from satellite photos is that it's not on the roof".

Iam 6'3 195# 25yrs old.The reason I am bitching is I just dont have to get my @$$ way to big it is way too big now and girls really loves it and had made good coments about it. I just dont have to continue to make my butt way too big.

The one constant thing in my life has been the training. The gym is a place of truth and honor. The iron and steel is always there waiting for you, and always gives back exactly what you put in. The determination, sacrifice and hardwork required to be successful there will spill over into all your endeavors in life.
Yes, women and money and friends come and go, but a 45lb. plate always weighs 45lbs.

Why complain guys. Thats what females do '' Oh my butt is too big'' .
Better to have a bit than none guys. Just found alot of guys recently complaining here about this ' mucho glute' syndrome. Bizarre . Seen the pros complain? Imagine having the full package and no glutes. That will look pretty funny wont it. Not to mention what women will say.LIve,Love ,Laugh!

With that being true, you must be tremendously ripped! 19" arms with that heighth and weight makes you a monster.
With that being true, your glutes would have to be pretty damn shredded, no fat.
I'd say if you are doing leg presses, keep your legs low. High placement targets the glutes big-time.

the reason I stopped doing lowerbody work is for this exact reason. its a pain in the ass finding jeans that fit right for one thing. I buy a normal pair of jeans and the seat is so ****ing tight, it forms a perfect mold of my ass, asscrack and all, visible to the general public. Then I buy baggier jeans and it just makes my ass look bigger than it actually is, making it look like I'm a fat ass.

at the beginning of the school year my 36'' waist pants were loose on me now theyre ****ing nut huggers, so im rocking the sweat pants until i lose a little fat, but i would NEVER stop doing squats of deadlifts. I dont want to bite the bullet and buy new pants, probably next bulking season ill have to.
