yeah err umm take a dbol pill or something else as good, chop a piece of it in water for it
or put a piece in bread
make sure the piece is small
feed it lots of water
if you do it when the mouse is mature nothing bad will happen. mouses have been given much worse stuff
it might be pretty buff with all the working out on that wheel
might break the damn wheel

If you knew how many hundreds of thousands of mice were being injected with cancer causing agents every single day in research labs across the country and then are gassed or have their neck snapped (both pretty much the industry standard for humanely killing lab mice), this wouldn't seem so cruel.
Just kill it humanely afterwards
