I've seen a vid of the Larry Allen attempt. Let's just say it was a "team effort."

I find some of those numbers VERY hard to believe.

Shaq - haha no way with those long arms does he bench even near that much

Will Smith - 385lbs eh i doubt that also, he was big in I robot but not 385lb BP big lol

Jack Lemmon - 300lbs/ Nah i don't believe that either.

Those are just the ones that poped out at me.

I don't find it very hard to beleive, because he's an actor. He was probably on some hardcore steroids for a movie role, they don't test for movies, lol. Imagine if you had millions of dollars to buy any supplements you wanted all the food(nutritious) you could eat, and you had one of the best personal trainers and nutrition specialists working with you.

Wow, I need to hop up my workouts... last time I maxed out on my bench was almost a year ago, at 185lbs. I need to get back on the bench to see where I stand. Lately I have only been doing dumbells not the bar. Most of those are pretty nice numbers.

I certainly don't know if he actually benches that much or not, but long arms aren't necessarily an immediate hindrance to a big bench. It's a hindrance IF you have very narrow shoulders, but if you have very broad shoulders(and any picture of Shaq I've ever seen makes him look like a giant of a man), then PROPORTIONALLY, you're like anyone else. So, in fact, your potential is probably MUCH higher.

Yeah, it's pretty far fetched to think that a guy who has weighed as much as 350 lbs could do about an entire hundred pounds more than his bodyweight

Unless it is obvious to anyone who isn't blind that you lift weights, you might still benefit from a little more attention to big basic barbell exercises for enough reps:).

He's been interviewed several times where he said that is what he benchpressed.
    I don't like signatures.

Yao's bench seems most unrealistic to me.
On a mission under very strict conditions.

    MAtt leinart bench presses.

I remember seeing a program showing the nfl athletes prepare for the draft. And it had Leinart, and he was benching.
