Glutamine or BCCA supplementation....
Hey guys, so right now I've been using micronized creatine, L-glutamine, ON whey, ON casein (before bed), BCAAs and occasionally NO-xplode.
Lately i've been reading some stuff showing that glutamine is kind of a useless product to be taking, as it doesn't really produce any great results...
So my question is, should i drop the glutamine when it is time to buy more stuff and just stick with the BCAAs pre and post workout? I was also looking on the ON containers of protein showing how each serving of the whey and casein provide about 5 grams of glutamine and glutamine precursors, and since i'm taking 2 servings of the whey and 1 of casein, wouldn't that be enough glutamine anyways?
Well thanks in advance!

I would prefer a BCAA supplement over glutamine. If you don't notice a drop in recovery or anything in that regard when you stop taking glutamine, then I wouldn't keep taking it. As far as using an additional BCAA product, I would if you're on a cut, but really wouldn't bother when bulking.

yeah i'm probably going to drop the glutamine since i'm already getting such a high amount with the protein supps. On off days, when would it be best to take the BCCAs, just in the morning and later afternoon like when i take my creatine?

Yes, if you use the PW and use 2 scoops, you will be getting 14 grams of bcaa's/eaa's. That is a pretty good amount

Ideally, start sippin pre, finish the most during, finish the last bit up post. If you cant take it during, pre would be better than post

It's not useless, it's good for immune/gut health. Sadly however a lot of supplement companies made big claims for it regarding muscle protein synthesis which just aren't true.
