Now i know about the "healthy fats" out there. Here's the thing though. For christmas, my neighbor gave me this HUGE thing of mixed nuts. Typically i buy raw almonds at the grocery store...but i can't just let this huge bucket of nuts go to waste, can i?
Reading the label, it doesn't seem that bad...but the thing i'm worried about is the peanut oil/salt combo in the bucket. Here's the nutritional facts:
Serving Size - 3tbsp
Calories - 200
Total Fat - 18g
Saturated Fat - 2.5g
Cholesterol - 0mg
Sodium - 130mg
Carbs - 7g
Dietary Fiber - 2g
Sugars - 2g
Protein - 5g
It says that peanut oil and salt are the only other ingredients other than the nuts themselves. FYI, i only eat the almonds and the cashews in the mix...i despise walnuts and hazelnuts.
Any opinions? Ok to munch on after work? I also might add that i don't eat ANY salt...and i hate it (except salted nuts are ok). I've never been a fan of salt, so i don't think i'd need to worry about sodium do i?

Mixed nuts are my choice when I crave salty snacks. My mix is almonds, walnuts, pecans and cashews. Some are salted, some are not. This makes the overall lightly salted. I also mix these in my pre bed ff plain yogurt.
Go easy. These are nutritious, but calorie dense.
EFAs essential fatty acids.
