Personally I love doing weighted excercises for my abs, hanging leg raises, crunches on a decline bench, cable crunches, weighted side bends, whatever, you name it.
My problem is with the swiss ball, everyone I've talked to says hooking your feet under something while on the ball takes away from the strain put on your abs and transfers it more to your hip flexors. But when I hold 35lbs behind my head and try crunches on the swiss ball I feel like my feet are barely gripping the floor because the weight is pulling me backwards towards my head.
So I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions/ideas so that I can still do weighted ball work without being pulled back onto my head.

Lay more on your lower back then on your a**. Plus it keeps your head from hitting the ground when you lay back. Thats the only way I can ever stay balenced.

I don't lie on the ball on my as atall. I guess I should have put it out there that I am 6'6". Therefore i have a much longer torso than most. And anyone who's taken physics or even just plaied on a teeter totter knows the farther the weight is from the folcrum the more force is applied.
I try to keep the ball against my lower back, but i suppose i could try sliding down a bit more."Bodybuilding is not a pastime, it's a way of life"
