    cut before or during track?

    Track season starts in march, but i still want to cut about 4 or 5 lbs (I'm a middle distance runner). But idk whether to start cutting now and maintain during the season, or just cut closer towards march. i need the best way that will allow me to still have the energy to run during the season.

    You're insane if you think cutting calories is going to do anything to your performance as a runner besides destroying what little muscle mass you have. AT 5'8 138 lbs you have the build of a girl, unless you want to be on gay twink videos you should probably gain a little weight.
