I lost 70 pounds while eating a few chocolate bars everyweek, it fit into my macros so it didnt make a difference.
The only thing about eating dirty is its not good in the long term and easy to get addicted to it. Im 16, but when im 20+ ill cut out the junk such as chocolate and fast food and such

lol doesn't get worse than alcohol
having a regular cal intake, and then going out for a night and drinking 10 beers, or 5-6 300 cal cocktails...foodwise that'd be like eating 20 twinkies but noone sees it that way
this is assuming you DON'T go and eat twenty twinkies when you're done drinking and haven't gotten any...which isn't too likely either

my dietary habits are far from perfect, but i dont think a gram of fish oil fat effects the body the same as a gram of super burger grease. same goes for a few dozen grams of carbs from a brownie vs that of a bowl of oatmeal. imo if people are meticulous enough to care about the difference between soy protein vs miscellar casein, people should care about where their fats and carbs come from.

For years, ok, you must have started pretty young seeing you're 18 like me. It just feels weird to me if I ate poorly all the time and think that I'll be getting somewhere. And for the 70 pound lost, you were probably pretty obese, you don't need much of a strict diet when you're 40 plus BF.

Obviously this is a bad idea. By living off of bad food you're excluding good nutrients, good fats, and good carbs that will keep you full longer.
I guess you could get away with it, but you're not going to be nearly as healthy if you ate clean. And your results would be poor in comparison.
Eating clean isn't that expensive. I'm broke, yet I manage to eat 100% clean.

It doesn't cost much money to eat well. You can find a way to eat clean and afford it.
Some things you can get
-Peanut Butter
-Oats
-Tuna
-Chicken
-Brown Rice
-Whole Wheat Bread
-Fruits and veggies are pretty cheap sometimes
-Cottage Cheese
-Eggs
-Milk Depending where you are but still not bad
You can easily pay $25 per week just getting this for a weeks supply. Not too hard, and there is a reason why we have jobs, so we can pay for neccesities such as food. People are just looking a way out and excuse, when in reality for life the ones who don't make excuses. And if you wanna have a good time, that ain't expensive either, get a 40 of Mickey's or somethin, 2.30 for one.Bench: 175 LBS

most folks here seem to be in their teens. you can eat almost whatever you want as a teen, do a little cardio and be fine. when you hit 26 the fat starts coming on easier and a cheeseburger here and there starts to make a bigger difference.
that said, if your energy turnover is high enough you can eat almost anything as long as the macros are there to retain the muscle.. ie protein intake.
the alcohol on the other hand will pretty much halt any progress in its tracks.

I definitely eat cheap, I pay about 20-25 a week.
definitely doable, also, saturated fat isn't the killer everyone makes it out to be.
eggs are great, milk is amazing,
did you read the link someone posted of the man who ate mcdonalds and lost 8 lbs in 30 days? He was well into his 40's and sported a great six pack after 30 days of mcdonalds. If life gives you AIDS, make lemonAIDS

yeah tool. for years. i started getting into the nutrition scene in my freshman year of high school. in case youre a little slow, that means i was 14 at the time, which would be 3 1/2 years ago. moron.
anyway- i think theres truth to both sides. i think alot of bodybuilders/athletes are so anal about what they eat that they go beyond eating clean to the point that its not even about results anymore, its just about the fact that they psychologically cannot handle not eating clean. at the same time, i do NOT believe that a diet can be completely comprised of what most athletes would consider "bad" foods. i just think that in the end, if you happen to have a bad craving on a day that you dont plan to make your cheat day, you can still make the day a positive accomplishment by making sure your calories and macros are in check with the rest of what you eat.www.raylongomartialarts.com

LOL.
The natural law fallacy. Rattle snake venom is pretty natural, and I still don't see people downing that by the quart.
You are uneducated, and you don't know what you're talking about. 'Man-made foods' are unavoidable, if you are qualifying something that is 'man-made' as having been under the 'taint' of the human touch. Guess what, people have been practicing agriculture for 6,000 years. Agriculture involves choosing better crops and exploiting the land in an UNNATURAL way (O NOES!) so that it can give a variety of produce year-round when certain crops aren't in season.
If you really are as much of a nature freak as you claim to be, stop bodybuilding. Go pick berries, eat roots and steal salmon from bears in the forest, and good luck with your hypertrophy.

You can get lean eating virtually anything. Get enough protein and take your multi and fish oils. Eating a candy bar a day (accounted for in calories of course) is a great way to stay sane so you don't go binge on 10 over the weekend.
If you're eating for health and physical fullness, then of course, get your fiber, your mono and polyunsaturated fats, all that good stuff.
But as far as can you lose weight eating "dirty," absolutely.forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=527284

are you serious? im pretty thrifty, but there is no way i could eat off $25 a week and stay remotely healthy and happy. $25 a week is ramen and mac and cheese territory. oh, and a 40 is hardly a good time. you need to step your diet game up and get your grown man on

You can lose weight by vitually eating? I'm glad to tell that to other endomorphs. It's hard losing weight if you can easily gain it. I'm not nature freak, but the way I see it, if I aim high but slack a little then it isn't so bad. But if I aim low then I may mess up. I just try to eat as clean as possible. When I'm out or parents get something not the best like In-N-Out. I'm not a bodybuilder, just an athlete looking to improve. I think you have less room for air when you are cutting, and I have no clue what it is like in the life of fitness for ectos.
