Is Timing Everything???

Does it make a difference what time you workout at??
I workout around 5 or 6 times a week about an hour after i wake up at 9am.
However last week i had things to do and ended up going at 6pm and i felt that i was stronger and had more endurance

I notice the same thing too sometimes. I usually work out after breakfast, but sometimes I have to go in the afternoon or evenings. Your body temp is at the highest in the early evening, and lowest upon waking, so your muscles are more warmed up already in the evening. Also, it could be since you've been up a while, you have had more solid meals throughout the day for adequate energy, whereas working out in the morning, you might've had only breakfast after a good 8 hours w/o food.

Depending on whether you want to build muscle or lose fat it does make a slight amount of difference when you work out and in regards to your strength level as well. I like training in the mornings but I actually have noticibly more strength at night after eating so much food throughout the day to build up my energy reserves.

Here is some information on the best time to exercise.

I wouldn't workout in the morning unless you have eaten well and waited for a couple of hours before you hit the gym.

Its easy - you have been asleep for 8+ hours and everything is depleted in your body, thats why you dont feel that strong if you hit the gym at that time.

I have read ppl saying its better for loosing weight, however I would not recommend that too unless you really dont care what weight your losing (muscle or fat).
