    How much L-Arginine do you guys take a day?

    Instead of going with my usual white blood I am trying just flat out L-Arginine. The kind I got is 500 mg's and the recommended dosage is 1 cap a day.

    I know this isn't enough... so I'm curious for those who just try straight L-Arginine how much is a good amount to take pre workout?

    I had the same question because i just started an L-arginine, l-ornithine supplement(just those two). I have been doing 2 servings a day, one when i wake up, and one 45 min before workout. A serving is 1500mg, so i have been 3000 mg (3g) perday

    a lot of people go way overboard on their Arginine usage. for example, NO2 recomends 10 grams a day, which is uber excessive.

    you have to keep in mind that any kind of meat/protein powder will have a good bit of arginine in it. i usually add another 2 grams pre workout.

    Very true, I bought some syntrax nitrous (yes before the lawsuit, no will never buy from them again), and the recommended dosage was 5g twice daily. I thought that was too much so I broke it down into 2.5g twice daily. I'd say anywhere from 2-5g is a good range.

    Yup

    2-4 Grams depending on your size. I took 3 grams at 180 and it worked well. Seemed to be a little under dosed at 2 grams. I would take two separate doses of 2 grams per day. But at least 3 grams seems to work. Goodluck!

    if its free form l arginine, youre body wont absorb all of it, or most of it even... it has to be bonded to something to help absorbtion... if you've already purchased it tho, make sure to drink some carbs to help with absorbtion

    2g of arginine I don't think is enough to really notice much of a difference. It wouldn't hurt to bump it up to 5g a day. Everybody reacts differently, I recommend trying different dosages to see what works well for you.

    bump, I feel that this is a very interesting topic. Could you guys include dosing schedule (3x Daily, only pre-WO, etc.) and amount/form (AKG/EE)? I'm not here to argue effectiveness on hypertrophy, just how it works for you.

    I only have arginine in my Satur8... so it's 1 gram lol. And I only take it on workout days. I do take citrulline malate though. And that's like 4-5 grams a day. So... VEINSSSS

    You should add CM. Out of a single dose of arginine, a very high percentage of is degradated within the liver by arginase I.

    A combination of CM with a little arginine will be MUCH more efficient.

    most of the preworkout NO supplements have 3000 mgs Arginine-AKG, L-Citrulline, and a few others, just to give you a ballpark figure

    edit: in response to the times of day besides preworkout, products like vaso, nitrix, and other all day pump products I believe its 3000 mgs per dosage. 3 pills, 3x a day
