    Zma

    I just bought some ZMA. After checking my fitday software, it seems I am getting 1900% of B6, 95% of Magnesium and 308% of the RDA from food and my multi-vitamin before taking this.

    RDA is not a good indicator of what is needed for health and body repair. So I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on benefits and side effects from taking this. Also the label says to take 30-60 minutes before bed and no calcium at that time. This is when I eat yogurt or cottage cheese, argghhh.

    I've been taking homemade ZM/GABA at bedtime for a few years(the fact that I've taken it for years should tell you I like it). The ready mixed formula seems to give the more vivid dreams tho.

    Thumbs up Zma

    I take it and it did modestly raise my T level from 910 ng/dl to 987 ng/dl. I started taking tribulus about 2 weeks after that and my T levels , just tested last week went from 980 to 1063, that's a little better than the ZMA. Maybe they work in unison?

    Interesting stuff. I have had some problems with things healing, sores, mainly. Something doesn't rise to the occassion like it used to. Also excellerated hair lose lately. I may have a deficiency in one or more of these (zinc, magnesium and B-6) because of absorption problems that come with age. I am going to risk the overdose and see what happens. Thanks Chi. That was a good thread.

    Don't worry about ZMA. The levels of zinc, b6 and mag while over RDA (which we all know means nothing) are nowhere near dangerous in any way.

    FreeRad, you've got to be careful with ZMA, it not only raises your test it also raises the dead, so to speak. In fact, now that the Dutchess has figured out its effects, she checks each morning to see if its still working LOL. I think she likes it as much as I do!!!!

    at your age ( 59), that is nothing short of incredible: something must be right with your system!!

    how much EXTRA testosterone could your body need if it was able to respond that way at your age?????? ( I am 53)

    plus: if you make your intended goal of June 2005, I don't know if I would worry about ZMA.....

    if something isn't "rising to the occasion", that might be another whole problem

    I don't know about "incredible" with the upper arm. 20 years ago it was about where it is now. Call it genetics. My dad died at 76 all skin and bones with big biceps. As to the June 2005 goal, I think I could make that in 8 weeks if I could get my head wrapped around it. Too bad I don't have a before picture of what I looked like one year ago on this day. If I could show you that picture and and one of me now, you might understand why I need 6 months to go a few more steps.

    As to the "whole other problem", I think you are right. I am sure that is a marital problem, not a nutritional or hormonal problem.
