NPC and drug testing

I am considering competing in figure with the NPC this coming year. Do they drug test?? I am natural and want to know if I can be competitive without gear or other supplements. Some of these girls just look sooo buff!! Thanks for your input!

they normally do i think. my dad was in mr. buffalo 5 years in a row, he had give them a unrine sample i do believe..

if the show is a natural show, then there will be drug testing. if it's not specified as natural, then there is no drug testing.

this is a good board to be active on. although Chad's board has tons of elite level bodybuilders and such...this board has a lot of activity from owners of supplement companies (particularly in the supplement forum) so you may be able to make some nice contacts here.

NPC regional shows do not test and NPC national shows say they could test but never do.

i live in ma and there is one npc show in conn, usually in nov., that is promoted by mike katz and is promoted as an all natural drug tested npc event. the two other npc shows in this area are non-tested. i am all natural and competed at the non-tested show....figure is a whole different ballgame...as long as have some muscle and you're lean enough you'll be fine.

I agree for the local level...however on the National level, I would be surprised if any of the girls competing in Figure are natural. I guess that are probably a few...but for the most part, drug use is as wide spread in Figure as it is in Bodybuilding.

many 'natural' show competitors have also used 'something' at some point. they require 7 years clean. also, as far as i know steroids do not stay in your system longer than 1 year, so you can pass the urine test easily. natural shows also polygraph test, but that can be beaten too.

Has anybody used or heard of these patches? I was told Ronnie Coleman endorses them and they were used in the Olympics. I tried them and skied all day in Killington, Vermont and just absolutely ripped!

As stated above, most NPC shows do not test unless they specify its a "natural" show...Yes, there are plenty of women who are using but there are also women who are not using..Find out what show you plan to do and then call the prmoter to find out if its drug tested and then determine what you want to do!!
