So I read on here that adding egg whites to your oatmeal is awesome. Sounds awesome right? well not this morning it wasn't!!! I really screwed it up!! And boy did it stinkkkkkk
Can someone tell me exactly how they prepare this? Do you cook the eggs with the oatmeal? or cook the oatmeal first? microwave? Amounts? I love eggs and love oatmeal... maybe they aren't destined to work for me!

I usually cook my oatmeal and egg whites together in the microwave. I will use 6 egg whites, 1/2 c dry oats and about 1 cup of water. Cook it for about 1 1/2 min to 2 min. Just make sure you have enough water or it will explode and make a terrible mess! It will thicken up a bit it you let it sit for a few minutes. I make all of my food the night before, so I have become accustom to eating it right out of the fridge. I will stir in some ground flax seed too, top with some splenda and cinnamon. Yummy!

Here is how I do it:
1) Cook your oatmeal as usual in the microwave (I cook mine w/ fruit and flaxeed);
2) Take out oatmeal and put in your measured amount of liquid eggwhites or eggbeaters (I put mine in the microwave in a glass measuring cup).
3) Cook eggwhites until they fluff up, but not too much or they will stick to the unsprayed glass cup (for example, I usually cook 1/2 cup in microwave for 2:15 minutes).
4) Put cooked eggwhites/eggbeaters into oatmeal (stir it in) and cook whole bowl until desired hotness.I want to be stronger--I'm already lean!

I like to cook my oatmeal normal- on the stove top. Then, I cook up a side of eggs over easy or soft boiled eggs and plop those on top of my bowl of oatmeal. Add some salt or seasoning and enjoy!
Reminds me of mixing my hashbrowns and eggs, except the oatmeal would be the equivalent of mushy hashbrowns :PHard work = Hard body.
