Where do you put your contacts if you don't have a case with you?

I still have to make my appointment to get contacts, but I just thought of this question. What if you go somewhere and you end up spending the night there, where are you supposed to put your contacts?

Can't you put them in/on a paper towel and wash them the next morning?
And how do you get your eyes "unstuck" if you leave the contacts in overnight?

eye infections are really common with people who wear ontacts, especailly monthly ones, if your considering keeping them in all night or leaving them in a paper towel (they will shiverl and dry out) then washing them (washing them with what? unless you take solution with you, you will have to use spit) you arent ready for contacts, unless you want to do your eyes some serious damage

Yep. It hurts like hell if you leave them in over night(I've done it). I might fork out the $ for LASIK before I go to college though. Just so I don't have to worry. Plus it's cheaper over time. What type of contacts are you getting? The ones you replace monthly? Bi-weekly? Six Monthly? Or the hard ones?

If there's even a possiblity of you staying over than take a case and a small travel size of solution with you and keep it in your jacket or car. There are disposable contacts that are approved for overnight wear but that's only if you have no other options. if you do leave them in you'll probably find you're eyes will feel pretty dry when the next morning. Also, make sure to change your contacts when you're supposed to and keep them clean. I've been wearing contacts for about 14-15 years and I've only had a few problems and those were my own fault because I didn't clean my contacts properly.

Right now I'm wearing the Accuvue Advance and I love them. Can't even tell I'm wearing them and I find that after wearing them all day my eyes don't feel dry and scratchy. They're my recommendation but talk to your eye doctor for more info.

Don't take them out and leave them somewhere.
They will completely dry up ... adding solution to them will not help. They will be completely brittle and snap in half if you try to do anythin with them.

Don't sleep with them either, they're a bastard to get out in the morning.

    ^ Based on self experiences.
    Drunkern experiences ... lol.

Just don't wear them if your sight isn't too bad (i do that sometimes) or take a spare case & solution and keep them in your car like you suggested.

I wear 30 day contacts, i have to put them in and take them out everyday ... i'm tryin to get the monthly ones so i can put them in and keep them in until the month is up - would be soo much easier.
