Jeni's Journal #2 :)
Hi ladies!!!!
So, I have decided to start a new journal. this is a whole new time in my life, and i just feel like i need a new start. ive fallen behind so much...about 23 pounds heavier now than i used to be...so this is kinda my journal to get back to where i was and lose a few more pounds.
when i "fell off", i was 152 pounds at my lowest. at my highest lately i hit 178 pounds. but sticking mainly at 174-175. i hate it. none of my jeans fit. and since ive moved it has been so so hard to eat right and work out like i used to.
for those of you who dont know me...i lived in germany for 3 years, and just recently moved back to the states. my hubs (dan) and i moved to las vegas, nv in january of this year. i started working at 24 hour fitness in late february. so i have plenty of access to the gym!
we have 2 cats and a ferret. the 2nd cat is only about 2 months old.
for those that do know me and wondering about the dog....well, we gave elly to a new home. she has so much energy and needs lots of walks and attention...and dan and i were just never home. it wasnt fair to her at all. it was so so so hard for me to let her go, but i know it was the best thing to do for her. i still miss her very much.
here is a link to my old journal:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=423630
and one to my myspace:

**the treadmill workout here is called the "half time fartlek". i got it out of the september issue of running times. i tried to find it on their website, but the only articles are up to july. but its where you run at a fast pace for 6 minutes, and then jog for 3. fast for 5, jog for 2.5. fast for 4, jog for 2. fast for 3, jog for 1.5. fast for 2, jog for 1. fast for 1, jog for 30s. i started at 4min since it was my first time.**
ok, so food is ok i guess. this isnt exact, but during the week i pretty much have stuck to this schedule;
m1-go lean cereal and skim milk
m2-protein bar
m3-turkey and cheese sandwich on ww bread, fruit
m4-fruit
m5-cereal or eggs or both
m6-veggies and meat and pasta
m7-fruit

weekend stories!!!
ok, so my friend terri is moving to alaska on wednesday, so her and i and some other friends went out friday night to a sushi place and a club. we had a lot of fun! at the sushi place though, my friend ann tricked me into eating eel and some raw trout. GROSS!! after she told me i had eaten raw fish i almost threw up. that just doesnt sit well with me. ew!
oh, and i was dd, so no alcohol for me all night.
on saturday terri and i and a couple different friends went to lunch at a buffet. so that made my food for the day total crap. there is a reason i do NOT go to buffets! i have no control there. lol!
after lunch i fell asleep, until i woke up to go to my first ever bodybuilding show!!!! yay!!! i had so much fun! i want to compete so bad now!! it just feels like there is no way i could possibly compete though because i cannot afford a trainer and nutritionist and pose coach and swimsuits and tanning stuff! so expensive! and i know i cant do it alone. id have to take a loan out to pay for all that stuff. but after being there last night, that may not be a bad idea. i would LOVE to compete! in figure though, no dance routines for me.
we got to see our friend, but she didnt make it so the top five of her class. thats ok though. still proud of her.
i met bob, from this site!

i knew he looked so so familiar, but i thought i knew him from barbies journal. maybe he does post in there, i dont know. i should have got a picture with him but i didnt even think about it til i got home! probably cuz i felt stupid talking to him cuz i couldnt figure out where i knew him from.
i also met the blonde girl in all the ON whey pictures.

she is very pretty! and nice. bob didnt seem so nice.
AND, jay cutler was there!! i didnt get to talk to him or anything, but he gave away one of the overall awards for pro ranks. i got pictures from far away.
it was a great night. ill post pictures....

Glad to hear you're having such a good time and thinking of a figure comp. I too would opt for that should I go ahead with it.
And a note on your running... be careful with the 2 runs a day deal. I know some people say it's better to do that than one longer run but if your first run is draining, your second one is a cry for injury. Make both runs easy runs if you choose to do that.
But still, it depends on what you're looking for. If it's endurance, stick to 1 longer run instead. Or make your first cardio session a normal run and your second session cycling or powerwalking or something of the sort. Less chances of getting injured.
Just a thought

thank you, i will remember that. definitely do not need any injuries. it kinda does look cut down the middle, but i think its cuz that air duct stops there. however, the lights look different on either side....hhhmmmmm.

The show looks awesome!!! Thanks for sharing Sounds like you had a good time. Ya competing is pretty expensive I think!! but start saving and maybe think about it a few years down the road or something.

update...
workouts-i think ive worked out since the 2nd...i think on friday...but i cant remember. i know i have not worked out this week though.
monday i had to go to the doc's to get my blood tested...again. tuesday i was just so exhausted after 12 hours of work that i went home.
and today i havent worked out yet, but i am going to play with my NEW WEIGHT SET! YAY!!! it is used, but its nice. its got an adjustable bench, the lat pulldown thing, two 45lb plates, two 25lb plates, four 10lb plates, an olympic bar, an ezbar, 2 dumbells with adjustable weight, and a few smaller plates for the ez bar and stuff. 2's and 5's i think. i love it! its nautilus. ill get pics up soon.
ok, so...
8/3
tonight dan and i went to a show in the paris hotel called 'the producers'. by mel brooks. it was pretty funny, and had lots of german words and stuff in it, so living in germany made it much more funny than if i didnt understand some of the stuff. like the word 'shiza'..and kraut. haha! when they said the 2nd word i just mentioned i couldnt believe it!
8/4
today dan and i went to california!!!! its our first time ever to cali! we have friends from there that were stationed in germany with us, and they were home, so we drove out there and hung out with them for the day. they are from a small town called rosamond...and we hung out mostly in lancaster, which is the bigger town about 10 miles from there. it was alot of fun. it was great to be with our friends again too, and see their kids and stuff. i really miss them.
oh, and we saw the movie Hot Rod. it is VERY VERY funny! and i ate at in n out burger AND cold stone creamery for the first time. it was a day of firsts!!! although 2 were unhealthy. i had a good day!
8/6
after work today i went to get my blood tested....again. gggrrr. i have a follow up appointment on the 18th. i am getting my iron checked again and something having to do with my red blood cells being damaged and dividing too fast. hopefully the doc will be able to help me. i dont want to be tired all the time anymore!
ok, and my excitement for today is above. so yah, there is an update. luv u gals!!
p.s. CARDS beat the padres tonight! whoo! i miss st.louis.
