sets

9-12 for major muscle groups
3-6 for minor muscle groups

is that good for once a week training?
like if i do chest once a week is 9-12 sets good?
and if i do biceps once a week is 3-6 sets of bicep good

Do you mean exercise wise? ie. 9-12 sets over 3-4 exercises? if so then ye it totally fine, tbh though i work the minor muscles as if they were major muscles, they hell aint getting any slack the lazy twats

you need to vary your rep and set schemes. you may also respond better to different sets and reps than others...you need to figure out what works best for you. the reps for biceps seem kinda low...for starting out, i would do the old 3x10. As you become more advanced then you can move into rest/pause, forced reps, and drop sets.

cal62887 is trying to say try using 3x10 for all the exercises you do. But then again, vary it like he also said. It doesnt take long for the body to get used to something.

Vary reps + sets every few workouts.

The goal in BBing is to give your body that "oh **** man, what do I do" feel, instead of the "oh, this is just the same thing I did for the last few weeks, this is easy" feel.

That's as simple as it's going to get.
