85.00 a month, reduced corporate fee, reasonably good poshy serious gym, but by no means most expensive gym in manhattan.
I feel very very lucky to only pay this much here.

I live in NH.
First gym, not a chain $600 for 6 months. Pool, racquetball, classes, etc.
Favorite gym, local chain of 3: $420 (incl. initiation fee) for 1 year
Gym now, Planet Fitness, fairly large chain in northeast: $130 for 1 year
If I had the funds I would be back at the second gym in a heartbeat.

$79/month downtown San Diego. It's a decent club with Hammer and Icarian, plus a full line of older Polaris equipment, basketball court and a lap pool on the roof.

in New Orleans:
Gym I started at $34pmo, has two locations, one has pool. Equipment at the one I train is computerized. Keeps track of your reps, weight, ect. Every 12th workout I will prompt you to do a "Strength Test" to up your weight. Cheap cause Husband works for Hospital. I LOVE this gym & the people who work there & train there! I will miss them.
Gym I will start 1-3-05 (cause having to move), is $150 initiation fee, monthly $53 for 1st person, additional $33.50 for 2nd person & $10 per person towel service & $22.50 for assigned locker. This one has three locations & you can pay less to only use the "nice" location with pool & stuff on weekends, which is what I will have to do. They said they may run a "New Years" special & waive the $150...we will see.

How the heck do you get Gold's for that low price?? That sounds pretty awesome for Golds gym. I checked out our gold's gym in cincinnati and they want about $650 for a year!! AND $15 for a day pass! My current gym is privately owned and I get by on about $290 a year.

Mine is 6 dollars a month. It has a new gym, a basketball court, tanning beds, and a youth room. Also, you can take different classes such as yoga and/or karate, but they cost extra money. In the summer time I pay $65 for a pool membership for the summer.

i paid 200 for a gold's membership, but i've been going there for years and the owner hooked me up.
i work for NYSC, and can work out there for free, but the vibe sucks and i hate lifting there, so i'd rather pay for gold's.

I pay $35/month at Lucille Roberts in the city. It's not the best gym, and sucks as far as some of the equipment is concerned, but it's 'very convenient. Close to work and close to home, so I'll just make do with what I have, so long as I go.

I paid $850 for 3 years at 24 Fitness, all clubs, and it included 7 training sessions. Each year after that will be $20.
Totally worth it! This had been one of the best thing's I've ever bought myslef (& I buy myself a lot of stuff! )

What I payed in Utah
My wife and I prepaid for 3 years at Gold's Gym in Utah, V.I.P memberships, full access it works out to $ 13 per month, per person, and its renewable at that same rate when our membership needs to be renewed.
It is transferable to anyone if I wanted to sell it. ( I won't)
And it is 7 min from our home, and their are 4 others and 1 more under construction within 15 mins from our home.
