Americans, what do you think of Great Britain (all opinions welcome)

I like to think of Britain as a guy that we got in to a few arguments and fights with way back when (American Revolution, War if 1812), then helped out (WWI, WWII), now we are good buddies with him and go around beating other people up (Iraq)

i dont understand this theory with ugly women, when i goto the city centre in bristol... all i see is hot chicks and the fat ginger ones also.. seriously.. i mean where are u guys looking? glasgow?? tbh i think bristol has some of the best looking women in terms of what i have seen on tv from other areas.

there is a ratio of 3 maybe 4 ugly's to 1,. i see some women on tv (not from bristol) and there all plain and average..(if they showed the pretty one's there be an equal oppertunities uproar...) there is way better out there.

and what is it with the teeth thing LOL,

ive been and i overall liked the people there.

they tend to be kinda synical and like smart humor and i appreaciate both of those things. most people here would rather watch american idol, get fatter, and then complain about it. All while driving their SUV's that they swear they cant live with out, while never going offroad, and then complaining about rising gas prices but still continue driving it....

my BA is in English and Medieval literature has always been my favorite. how familiar are Brits with English Medieval literature? do you study Chaucer, Beowulf, and other famous works?

Man i am sooo desperate to move out of this Sh*thole where i live (midlands).

crap weather
high ugly to hot women ratio
old and dirty towns/citires
lame clubs/bars unless u go to like birmingham/manchester/london etc. but then prices are too much!

the only good thing is that the British pound PWNS ALL!! so when we go on holiday its nice n cheaaaaaap

I don't call buscuits in general 'cookies' though, i call them cookies because thats the type of buscuit it is.

I tend to call things by what they are, rather than a label for a type of food. Like i wont say im drinking 'a soda', ill say im drinking 'pepsi' or somthing. :]

also, how closely do you identify with the Middle Ages? i mean, do you think it's cool that your culture has that historical background? in the US, we can only identify with the Middle Ages through England/Europe because our history doesn't go back that far.
