What gives?

This board has SERIOUSLY changed in the past few years, and we must adapt to the sheer size of the board. At first, it was the same 100 people every day in the supplement forum and I really enjoyed it. We would talk about everything from supplements to 'if dito were to get laid' to if 'pu12en12g really ad a pecker (no homo).' Granted, dito never did get laid, but it was fun talking about it. It's really hard to explain how this board was unless you were around in '02-'04.

Times have changed, the board has changed, and new rules have been in place. Regardless of how I feel about the rules, they are now here.

If you guys want to air ANYTHING out, please do so in here. Granted, it's Friday and I'll be heading to the bars in a few hours for some cocktails, but I'll be here in the meantime listening you guys out.

why did I never get a answer from any of your people after i got banned for 7 days for calling paris hilton a bitch? being a feminist or having a hardon for her doesnt warrant that type of treatement correct? No response at all, would you agree that is an abuse of power? Which is what most concerns are now

also I think alot of issues would be relieved if say a mod closes a thread they state why with the last post. Im a mod at 3 other forums and if I lock it up last post is

Locked for XXXXXXXX

This way i dont see thread s or pm's on it

the new rules have pretty much shut up all the knowledgable people on opinions except for thier own stuff. I dont even go in the supp section anymore. ill check company promo do a quick search and roll out

The thing with human nature is that in all honesty we hate change, especially change that we do not do ourselves. You get comfortable with a certain way of life and when someone comes in and takes that away and tells you to do it another way there's going to be those that fight against the grain. Most will just follow along, because they hate conflict more than change. For some the change is hard, and some might not be able to deal. Example being a certain "I'm leaving" thread. All I can say is that regardless of the new changes just as in nature we must adapt with the changes or move on. But what the hell do I know? I'm just a Noob

i dont see it much different than it has been. obviously the board has benn shaken by the recent litigation, but in my time here it seems pretty consistant with the ebb and flow of the bs.

Honestly as a "non-rep" the new rules don't really effect what I post, BUT it does effect the experience that I get from the board. Not only from reputable members expressing their opinion but now it is even driving away some of the more valuable members of the forum. This is the part that really bothers me.

Enough with the "I've decided I'm going to take product x". Good for you, wtf is the meaning of the thread other than to tell us that? Take the damn stuff and give us a review!!

Creatine threads...do I really even need to explain this one?!!

And don't forget the classic "I am hardly through puberty and I want to take a test booster/ph". I'll bet it wouldn't even take a minute for them to search and find out how dangerous that would be.

Last one I'm going to state are the Mr. "Holier than thou's". Guess what, not all of us are chemistry professors and Harvard grads. We ask questions to learn more about products. And some members posts are not "set in stone" as some would like to think either. Guess what? Noone's perfect, so stop acting like it!!

That's it for now but I have a ****ty attitude on these boards lately so I'm sure I'll think of more...

i dont know why people are complaining about JW threads, if the product does in fact contain substances not on the label, wouldnt you want to know? keep asking until you find out. everyone turned it into a joke, but it may not be a joke to people who took it and want to know what was really in it, allegedly (no sue).

I certainly cannot say, but calling women (even hilton) a bitch, is also against the rules and ban worthy. I'm sure you can find those rules somewhere in the misc forum or maybe in the supplement forum. Granted, I'm with you on that statement, but calling a women that is a no-no here.

As far as replying to why something was deleted/closed, I agree with that statement. As long as the person isn't a troll, and they made a bad post and it was closed/deleted, they deserve an explanation (again, within reason).

Can bb.com ensure us that non-affiliated members are not going to be named in litigation?

Syntrax is pursuing cases against non-affiliated members.

Based on that fact it would seem that no one is really free to offer an opinion.

I'll say that my idea of having companies on this forum sign a 'no tort' type agreement preventing them from using this forum for a launching point for their lawyers would fix everything. (perhaps as a means to be carried by bb.com, this is part of the agreement, surely bb.com has enough retail clout to get this included in their contracts)

But I also have to agree with sawastea on how the general tone of this forum has gone from guys who just wanna pack on mass and yuck it up online to amatuer biochemist sitting at home looking to attack opinions that conflict with their own convictions / beliefs / etc.

(I also think the mods should 'merge' more threads to keep info more consolidated)
