    Better Strategy?

    I'm thinking of changing up my current routine.

    Right now, I work out 5 days a week with a 4 day split, so a different workout gets repeated each week.

    Right now its:

    Day 1: Chest + Back
    Day 2: Triceps + Abs
    Day 3: Legs
    Day 4: Shoulders + Biceps

    For each muscle group, I do 4 exercises (with 3 sets per), so I do a total of 24 sets per workout (6-7 exercises for legs).

    I was thinking, I wanna shorten my rest for each group, because I feel fine to workout each again after just 2-3 days of rest, so 4 days between muscle groups isn't necesary for me. So I was thinking of condensing this into a 3 day split, but descreasing te number of sets I do for each group.

    Day 1: Chest + Back
    Day 2: Triceps + Abs+ Shoulders
    Day 3: Legs + Biceps

    Now I would do 3 exercises per muscle group on Day 2 to and keep the sets at 24 total, and decrease Day 3 by one exercise for legs. This way I can cram more workouts into a sorter amoutn of time and get rid of rest days that I don't need.

    Good idea or no?
