    Tendinitas help...

Wife has managed to achieve Tendinitas in both knees at once (she always was an over achiever!). It makes leg day dang near impossible for her. I was wondering if anyone experienced it and/or can suggest something to help?

According to the doctor, it will pretty much go away in its own sweet time and will probably not return. In the meantime, was told exercise can't make it worse and might even help. It is miserable in the meantime though (had it in the elbows before...it sux!). Thanx for any help.

I've had it in the elbows, sucks. I worked through it after a short break. I blame too many sets and reps and cut back. That has helped in the long term. For short term relief I used a strap just below the elbow(for tennis elbow) and this really helped. Don't know why it would't work for the knees also. Now don't ask me how this works, I have my guesses but there only that. Maybe someone else can answer that. I am sure it has something to do with blood flow.

I had it in my elbows and knees. too many reps at too heavy weight. I just took the "theraputic" approach. I went way down in the weights that I was lifing and slowly worked my way back up to where I was before. that, plus liberal amounts of Ibuprofen seemed to do the trick. I hate to stop training because of pain, so, rather than stop I just scale back.

    Hope this helps.

BTW, a knee brace will help stablize the knee as well as take some of the force off of the connective tissue. This should help as well.

Man O Man can I relate to this. I now have it in my left elbow as I type this. It just takes so so long to go away. I probably lifted to heavy... Man this sucks for me right now. Unfortunately time is the only healer, yuck it takes to much time though.

    BBB....(I'm not that cool today)......

More likely to many reps/sets and over training. Thats what does it to me anyway.

    Thumbs up Glucosamine

I was having tennis elbow probs a few months back - when I started supping with glucosamine, the inflammation went away very quickly.

I had the same **** in my elbows. Doing curls too heavy. It took for ever to heal but after working lighter with higher reps it finally is back to normal
