Red face Is My Lower Body Weak? *REPS*

    Bench-225 (as of today )
    Squat-285
    Deadlift-315

I sea most teens squatting 300+ and DL'ing over 350. But their bench is not that high. Am I doing something wrong, or do my stats seem to be normal.

PS- No bull**** E-stats being posted, please. Mine are legit and not impressive whatsoever, so there is no need to lie. Honest opinion and suggestions welcome. REPS to the 2 best answers.

well yours might not be e-stats, but that doesn't mean that the teens you are referring too do not have e-stats. And IMO your lower body is not that weak, maybe you are just a bencher naturally.

ur bench is a lil high for your squat and deadlift, but not nearly as bad as some of the people on here.

just bust your ass on leg day (im sure you do already) and if numbers really mean that much to you, then try incorporating some westside techniques into your routine.

    Edit: or other powerlifting techniques.

Are those maxes? I have never maxed. How much higher is your max than what you do for 8 reps?

thats the problem, i, personally dont train for strength and numbers, but just for size, and i am scared of doing low reps for legs fearing that i might hurt something. i only max out once every 3 months, and the rest i calculate as in ratio to weight and reps. So if i do 240x8, thats 285 and so on.

well you answered your own question then...if you train for size rather then strength, and you feel your legs are up to par with the rest of your body, then why does it matter?

i only max every three months, even though i hate to. i dont do powerlifting because its dangerous IMO. always work from 8-10 reps. but my bench seems like its starting to get noob gains again. went from 195 to 225, today, in 7 weeks.

well if you think ur legs arent up to par strength wise with your upper body, the train for strength with your legs for a little while to get the numbers where ya think they should be.

if those are ATG squats then you squat more than me.., which would be pretty good. I think your legs are already up to par
    275lb atg front squat / 235lb paused bench (in comp) / 445lb Conventional Deadlift using mixed grip/chalk/belt (in comp) / Deadlift-425x3 using a hook grip + chalk / BP low-bar back squat 335x2 & 315x4 & 350x1 (in comp)

A tree with a thin trunk can only make branches so big -me

Won 1st place at my first powerlifting comp!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!1

definitely not as strong as u bro. btw, they are all legit below parallel. I feel that when i do ATG, i bounce up from the bottom and makes the squats much easier with momentum.

I'm sorry to compare us from not knowing how long u've been lifting, but I'm not far behind in squat (260) and kill you deadlift (375), and I've only been training 5 months. Maybe try changing your routine?

Well you would think he would be big. I'm just getting sick that every post he makes he is flaming someone or telling them how stupid they are when he is a noob himself.

were you one of the people who only benched when you started out?

or do you just get gains on your bench really easy?

Honestly I don't even give a sh*t about legs. I mean I still do them because I know how bad it is not to but my leg workouts aren't as intense as everything else. I don't want my legs to be any bigger than they are so I pretty much just try to keep them in shape.

Exactly my next q. if you started out like so may before you and only benched that could be the problem, or, like said, maybe you just gain easily on bench.

wow, you did forearms when you first started? I never see people who just started do forearms, ever
