Gym Jerks?
Didnt know where to post this but...
Is there any GYM JERKS at your gym, I think there is a few at mine, either the really big dudes that come in and seem to look down on everyone, or the groups of whatever that come in and turn all the music all there rnb and rap tapes on and yell at each other and generally disrupt the peace.
Anyone encounter any of these people, really loud grunters sortof piss me off too, it just takes my own concentration away from my lifting when it sounds like some big sweaty dude is having an orgasim 5 metres away from me.
Anythings that annoy you in the weights room? or Gym

ah yes.. the gym jerks.. They are usually the ones who are 300lbs of rip and bench ungodly numbers and seem to know everything there is to know about lifting.. To bad their ego is even bigger than their body.

You should have a "grunt off" with one of those big sweaty dudes. and maybe you two can have drinks afterwards.

My gym isnt too "grunter" heavy but...we do have folks who have no gym etiquette (spelling?) what so ever.
1) Walk in front of you when your using the mirror while lifting.
2) Dont ask if anyone is "using this"...just totally steal your spot. Thats when you gotta run'em off.
3) Are a few guys who will get in there and just circle jerk. Jabronees!
4) Wont put their f*ckin weights back! 25,40,80,whatever dbells go where the labeled number is!

Drinks may eventually lead into something more than a "grunt off" though. (no implications)

start on a full body 3x per week, add body part volume while reducing body part frequency as you progress. It's that friggin simple. It isn't "1 bodypart every 2 weeks for 70 sets" OR "Soviet/Bulgarian each bp 10x per week using 1 exercise each". There are middle grounds.

i had an a$$hole last night taking up not only the flat bench, but the seat and incline bench with all the dumbells ranging from 30-50lbs.. (30,35,40,45,50).... to top that off, he was all the way at the other end where the 80-125lb DB's are and that's what i needed to use...
so i have to grab my DB's, farmer's walk them fawkers down to the other side of the gym... pyramiding up my weights every set owned me...
to top it off, this guy is wearing sunglasses, and has his towel on one bench, his water bottle on another, and the sea of dumbells scattered all over the floor...
p.s. i grunt, gotta problem w/that???

If your doing dbell curl for example...you may want to watch your form for a rep here and there. I dont know. I know I dont "not" face the mirror on purpose. If I am...I am...If I'm not...I'm not. But if I am, dont walk right in front of me...either wait (like alot of folks do) or freakin walk around.

i sometimes have to walk in front of someone who is looking in the mirror but it's their fault because they are standing like 10ft from the mirror on the other side of part where people walk, they dont give you a choice but if someone is say within 5ft of the mirror i would never walk in front of them

Not really jerks but people that just sit on equipment while speaking Spanish on their cellphones are super annoying.

I kinda miss the seriously psychotic gym rats that used to be everywhere.
The guys that would throw their belt across the room after every squat set, wear a mouth guard for freaking biceps training, and of course had to commandeer 20 sets of dumbbells at once, like they needed to make a fort or something.

This of all things pisses me off the most. I dont mind that your using a bunch of weights, but i do mind when your using the seat, and the incline, and use the flat bench to hold nothing but your towel.
Also for some reason the girls at my gym think that when they need to do free weight curls, that they need to put their gear on the flat bench and stand next to it, There are only two flat benches SH*T, stand somewhere else!
