    i only weight 141 pounds, so I can reach to 40-45. usually i do weighted dips with around 70 pounds

    Thats pretty impressive, the most I've ever done is 32. Right now though, probably a little over 20, nothing special

    I've never tried. Probably 20 or so. I've done weighted dips x 4 with 45lbs 6 weeks ago- can probably do more now.

    at my gym there is a belt with a chain, and a hook you run the chain through
    the hole in the weight and dip away. some gyms have machines that have the belt, and weight

    Most guys use a weight/dip belt which has a chain on it from which you hang plates. You can also hold a dumbell between your anlkes, wear a back pack etc.

    ohhhh ok..i got it..thanx guys, that would def help me develop the lower part of the chest rite? my whole chest is solid except the lower part so ive been doin decline and flys like 3x a week..would this make a significant differ too?

    When I started incorporating weighted dips in my chest routine, I noticed a difference in the thickness of my middle/lower chest.

    the gym I go to has a dip machine but it seems like when you set the weight, you really only are pressing the difference between your bodyweight and the weight you set, is this how most weighted dip machines work?

    oh and i can do like 20 bw dips....i think, I can do 6 or 7 reps with 55lbs.

    I'm at the point where I'm trying to special order a Dip belt for dips, as trying to hold onto a DB with my feet sucks moneky nuts, and seems to mess up my form... I can do 13-14 body weight dips at the moment... Which I don't think is too bad, considering I weigh 220...?

    I hadn't thought about the Back Pack thing... Do you think it would mess up form?

    I dont train for endurance but i have done 25 ( which i think is descent ) dips w/o weight and 5 dips with 135 lbs attached to my body .
    5'11 @ 220lbs.

    The gym at my university lacks the chain belt that i love so much for weighted dips and pullups, so when I was doing dips I tried to pump out as many as possible in one set, I got 34 i believe. With weight my best was bw+70lbs for 3.

    Mine doesn't have one either. You have to buy your own. They're not too expensive though.
