dam Spring Collar wont GO ON!

Well I just bought this new barbell and on one side the dam spring collar just wont go on I have to cross it over to get it on but its annoying cus of the recoil, should I just file down the collar inside or what?

btw Its the bar not the collar thats the problem.

Those spring collars can be finicky, every once in a while I'd run into one that just wouldn't open properly. I would suggest buying some muscle clamps collars, just twist to lock or release.

Oh I know about those. I bought these "adjustable dumbells" which are basically a miniature barbell that takes olympic plates.

You never ever know when that ****ing collar is going to slide off. I can't even use them for exercises where they're going to be hovering over my head cause my life would be in danger.

There's nothing more frustrating then being in the middle of a set and having your weights fall apart.

haha ya im from a small town but I also bought 465lbs of olympic plate , EZ bar and Olympic bar, spinlock dumbbells with enough pro plate to go up to 80 lbs each

I might just file down the inside of one of the collars to get it on, the muscle clamps shipping to Canada is pretty much the same price as the clamps
