I got a private message asking for the step by step instructions on posting pictures. Since there may be more then one person that needs this information I decided to share it with everyone. Feel free to add anything that I miss or you think is important.
Lets start with one of the easiest ways first. Need a digital camera, most now use a digital memory card that fits into a Memory Card Reader that hook up to a computer's USB port. Below is what I use:
All I do is snap the pic, take the memory card out of the camera, put it in my card reader then put the reader in a USB port:
My computer has a USB port on the top of the case (bit rare), many now have them in the front for easy access. If you don't find one there, then look in back (of the computer). If you don't find a USB port, then that means you have an older computer, and so much for easy
Once I put my reader in a USB port a window pops up that says, "removable disk F:" what do you want windows to do? I then pick "open folders to view files":
From there many things can be done, I choose the pics I like and copy them to my hard drive. If you don't get the popup window, you can click on "my computer" and get to the same place, look for "removable disk".
If you have a digital camera, but it does not have a removable memory card, it should have a cable that hooks directly to the computer (see owners manual).
If you don't have digital camera, or the pics you want to post are already developed, then you need to scan them. If this is the case then take them to a photo store and have them put on a compact disk (unless you have a scanner of your own).
If you don't have any equipment at all, start small, but look for a digital camera with a removable digital memory card Makes it so easy it is fun
Lets do a Profile Picture first. In the top left corner of your bodyspace you sould see "Edit Profile Picture", after clicking that you will see the Manage Your Main Profile Picture window. At the bottem you should find Upload A New Profile Picture:
Now just fill in the blanks and browse your computer finding the spot where you saved the pic. Next check the "I understand" box and click on upload image
Progress Pictures are almost the same deal, just click on edit near the progress pics area of your bodyspace and you will see the same type of window as above.
If I went to fast, or I'm not clear please let me know. Also feel free to ask any specific questions, if I don't know the answer I'm sure someone here does
There are an awful lot of people who seem to have a special filter in their computer that makes the Frequently Asked Questions link totally invisible to them, so this post really helps

Good point Kimsquit, lets see what FAQs has to say about Profile Pictures

How do I get a picture under my username?
These small images are called Avatars. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. There are two kinds of avatars: those provided by the administrator and those that you upload yourself.
On Bodybuilding.com, your avatar MUST be a picture of you. To upload a picture of yourself for your avatar, visit your BodySpace member profile page and upload a PROFILE PICTURE. You can visit your BodySpace profile at http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com
If you do not want to view avatars on the forum, go to your USER CP (click on the link at the top of the forum that says "USER CP") and then click EDIT OPTIONS. In the THREAD DISPLAY OPTIONS area, uncheck the box that says "Show Avatars". It's that easy!
Thanks for taking the time to explain this in such detail. Right now I'm still using an old 35mm, and plan to scan photos. But I hope to have a digital by Fall.

No worries
Let me know if you need help when you get the new camera.
I'm not ashamed, I tried to post my before & after pics on a thread. I managed to put them in my bodyspace, but when I tried on a thread and hit the manage attachment part it said my pics were to big I have to stay within the 1000 X 1000 range or something like that and my pics were like 1250 X 1250 and would have to minimize them manually. Gave up after that
