    Do I need to warm up on every exercize?

    Like my routine for today is

    Squats ---> Bench Press ----> Deadlifts -----> Abs

    If I do warm up sets for squats, do I need to do warm up sets for bench press or deadlifts?

    yes very important. especially when doing heavy exercises such as deadlifts and bench press.

    Dude that's kind of a dumb question. Think about it... warming up is to get the blood flowing to the muscle you're working, if you warm up squats are you warmed up for bench press? x2

    Well, warming up is important simply because it prevents injuries to both your muscle fibers and your tendons/ligaments...

    Since each of your exercices target different muscles you should warm up all of them... But when training the same muscle, you shouldnt warm up at the start of each exercice only at the beginning of your first.

    Always warm up for any exercise. Even if it's light weight. Use the bar to warm up just so you have blood going through the muscles.

    rippetoe insists to warm up / ramp ur exercises.. so i think he knows what he's talking about


    looks like u are on rippetoe's since its squats, bench press, dead lift.

    but if not, still answer would be to warm up,

    i warm up, but the only thing i hate about is , noob ppl be looking at u at the gym and u can tell some girls/guys thinking "he only is squating 100 pounds? weakling!" tahts how i feel ahah cause it takes awhile till i get to my working set since i ramp it.

    yes, but lifting should never be easy. Nothing wrong with sets of 10 but they shouldn't be a breeze to complete.
