    Abs Disappearing?!?!?!?

    Hello everyone!!

    I've been working my abs for a long time... and they were well defined and i could see them if i was relaxed or even after a meal... but for the past 6 days they are fading away.. i asked my friends they were like its normal it happens your body might be tired or i don't know you body is just not responding give it some time.... hhmm?????? i've been eating fruits before i sleep so my guess is they r being stored as sugars n they kinda ****ed up my abs ....

    any idea's??!??!

    really, that's funny, you haven't even been around a month, but whatever, i reply and help plenty, but with a question like my abs disappear in six days from eating fruit, what kind of "help" do you think you can get? did you increase sodium intake? did you increase fat intake? there's obviously something else going on, not just eating fruit. you want help, help us out by giving us a little more info to work with.

    fruit is healthy.. besides any carb source... f*ck it any CALORIE source no matter what you eat will not make your abs disappear in 6 days. Its impossible! No matter how much you bloat up 6 days is not enough to make 'em disappear.

    More over as long as your eating clean and increasing your calories iaw weight gain. You will grow.

    You cannot be afraid of losing your abs though. Alot of people are afraid of losing that "well defined 6 pack" and stay skinny forever... put on some good amount of size (mainly lean mass of course) then go on for a little cut and reveal the new mass you have and get your 6 pack back..

    if you really wanna stay lean I would suggest maybe doing like 20 minutes of cardio before or after your workouts. To keep things REALLY under control you can try bulking for 2-3 months then cutting for 2-3 weeks. Some people have great sucess doing it.

    Lightbulb Fat+Water+Lack of Exercise?=No More Abs!

    Your body fat % is going up...duh.

    My abs just disappeared in about a week cause I stopped doing abs exercises...now I'm starting them again and they are coming back.

    This just means your getting more calories than you should, and your adding more body fat.

    Also, keep in mind that for every amount of body fat you put on, your body will temporarily store 3x as much water, which will cause you to look bloated.

    Oh yeah, if your getting older (arn't we all...litterally ), your metabolism might be starting to slow down a bit more, and by adding those extra fruit calories (or whatever) you are causing your body to put on more fat.

    This means you need to cut your calories...stop eating the fruit before bed and see if they come back lol.

    Also, what is your abs routine like? are you doing abs every day? this could be the problem, as could not doing them often enough.

    (1) How many calories more are you eating than you were a week ago?

    (2) What is your BF%? has it gone up in the past week?

    (3) 13% BF can look the same as 16% BF...maybe you were fatter than you thought, and now (even though it seems sudden) you are starting to get fatter, and your abs are disappearing.

    (4) Start drinking cold water...17oz of ice water in one hour will raise your metabolism by up to 30%! I found I can burn 240-320 extra calories a day just by drinking refridgerated water!

    (5)...oh why am I even bothing to reply to this? I'm such a workout nerd I need to get a life and maybe a job working at a gym or something lol.

    heeey Seal 2 be... maan u always have something to saay hahah thats great!! well my body faat was 7.4 last time i checked and it hasn't gone up.. i don't eat carbs after 6 pm and the only cars i eat during the day is 2 pieces of toast in the morning + 1 bowl of cereal and after my workout 1 bowl of brown rice... thats it.... its like my abs are changing shape or something look at my pix they were kinda standing outwards but now they are flat :S and not so defined... this is whats confusing me my friend has been training for the past 9 years and he told me the body just ****s up sometimes or the abs are changing shape but i'm not sure..... anyt other explanation?? Oh yeah and as to my abs routine i i do them 4 times a week almost... for about 30 min..

    well unless you are consuming massive amounts of fruit, i doubt that's the culprit, especially if it's only been a week. fruit doesn't really have that many calories to it, and it's got fiber, so even late at night, i doubt it's turning to fat enough to make your abs disappear. 3500cals is one pound of fat. did you eat 3500extra calories worth of fruit? there are time when i feel like i don't look as big or full as i usually do, but i get over it. your body is weird, it may be going thru a phase where it wants to retain water, i don't know. i wouldn't worry about it too much, you are lean, unless you become a butterball, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting them back.
