Max. amount of dietary sugars
Ok can anyone tell me what % or grams of dietary sugars you can consume per day or meal?
I'm not talking about sweets, but I notice under carbs on the ingredients of some food I eat the sugar varies.
For example cottage cheese, It has 6g carbs but 5g sugar, Muscle milk has 12g carbs and 6g sugar, I have a natural peanut butter with 7g carbs but 2g sugar.
At first I didn't notice the sugar, I only counted carbs. I just noticed about a month ago, when I stopped drinking Arizona's green teas. It has 51g sugar in one 20-22 oz can. I didn't think it could be bad cuase it had honey, little did I know that honey even though it's natural is not good for you.
So which brings me back to my orginal question, what is the maxium amount of sugar can you consume in a day?

There isn't rly a RDA 4 refined sugar . . . but
Official USDA Guidelines advise a maximum of 40g refined sugar for every 2000 calories consumed. This equates to 8 percent of calories.
