Stay away from them, they're a waste of money. All you need is a regular scale and a mirror.

I think some of the higher end ones are like $100???
I'm looking for the old style sliding weight scale myself, don't trust the electronic ones, gotta have the feet in the right spot, get different readings even if I step off and then right back on....bleh.

You are right, 7, to distrust such a silly piece of equipment. At that weight and waist, you are most probably under 15%, maybe well under.
Those gadgets are just another scam.

Yeah those body fat scales are crap. Cause for instance if you drink alot of water before you get on the scale it will tell you a higher B/F percentage. They work for some people but they have to be extremely consistant with the way you measure yourself. For example measuring the same time everyday and making sure you haven't drank to much water. I personaly just use the Accu-Measure Fat Trac II Digital Skinfold Caliper. Instead of worrying about the whole B/F percentage I just keep track of the measurements I get in MM. It works for me. Thats just a suggestion, you should do whatever you feel more confortable with, if you have the patience for the B/F scales by all means use it! It's just to inconsitent for me. I hope I could help you some what! Enjoy!

My scale says that i'm around 13% when in reality I am in the 17-19% range...don't trust it in the least.

The best option - I think are good quality callipers. I'm keen to get my hands on some, but don't know how much they cost or where to purchase them. I bought a plastic pair from Bodybuilding, but they're not sensitive enough. I've used some good quality ones in the past - but they didn't belong to me!
Any tips on where to purchase callipers would be helpful - as too comments on their accuracy.
Cheers!

I bought a very expensive BF monitor, it does a whole host of other things too, but I don't believe half what it tells me.
For instance, currently I have a metabolic age of 29! In fact I've never been out of the 20's since I bought the thing a couple of months ago. Farcical. I also agree with the comment that the readings change every time you step on it.
