Just a quick question... Lastnite I mixed up a quick batch of protein bars that I found as a recipe on here... However, they didn't turn out that well.. I put them in the fridge overnite like the recipe called for and this morning and even right now they are still all soft and are impossible even to cut in squares, I am better off to eat them with a spoon... Heres a look at the recipe can anybody tell me what went wrong:
8 Scoops Whey (Vanilla is very good)
3 Cups Oats
1 Package Sugar Free Fat Free Pudding (Any flavor is good)
2 Cups Skim Milk
Mix until a sticky batter is formed (may take a few minutes)
use a large spoon to spread out the mix into the bottom of a Pam-sprayed glass or metal cooking tray (spread until even)
put in the fridge overnight and cut into 8 equal bars that yield:
3g fat
28g carbs
29g protein
257 calories
These bars taste amazing, and are perfect for: breakfast, pre OR postworkout.
PS: I also tried another recipe, but added peanut butter instead of the pudding and those got a little harder but still real soft and runny? WTF
