    Triceps Questions

ok, for my Triceps I have a few questions: when doing closegrip presses should DB's or a BB be used? 2 handed overhead ext. or 1 hand overhead ext.?

for close grip presses go with a bb, but you can use db's occasionaly; like on floor presses for example...

i personally like 2hand extension but go with whatever you feel comfortable. switch it up once in a while.

ok, I have another one, how far apart does your grip need to be when doing barbell CG presses? I use a 6-8 inch grip is that too close or too far apart, or just right for maximum SIZE and STRENGTH?????

You want to be about shoulder width, any closer will be very hard on the wrists.

Never tried it but I think you hold them neutral grip, although how "narrow" they are depends on the size of the db's you're using I guess.

you lay on your back with DB's in your hands like you are getting ready to do a set of flies(so you are holding them with sort of a hammer grip) but you touch the DB's together and leave them that way throughout the exercise.

yea, that's not very godo for the r/c.

best bet if you want to do that with dbs is to use a hammer grip instead.

hey $AJ, that is the way I use to do them, b/c thats how the strength and conditioning coach in my weightlifiting class during Sophomore year told all of us to do them, I have been on my own since then and when I got to the point where I was using 50lb DB's in each hand my wrists and shoulders were killing me way before my tris felt it, so I have been doing them w/ a BB for the last 4-5 months now, So thanks for your reply. Oh yeah and to end yalls little argument I DID keep the DBs touching throughout the movement
