Exclamation Digestion question..what do you think?!

What are your girl's thoughts on this? Some days I have no time to spread out my meals and end up going a long time without eating (some days I only eat a couple times a day but BIG portions). I am under my maintanence calories when that happens but I feel like eating so much at one time could force my body into storing some of it as fat because it is overwhelmed with so many calories at once. Do you think even if I'm under maintanence but eating like 800-1000 calories at once it could possibly not get utilized right and be stored as fat???? I think I read somewhere that this IS possible. PLEASE HELP!

The only thing that's going to cause you to store it as fat is that it's too LITTLE calories if done on a regular basis.
Eat more even if it's at one time and just make sure your daily/weekly totals are under maintenance if you're trying to lose.

I'd try to rethink your lack of time and try to get back to 5-6 small meals a day. They don't all have to be big "meals," think 2-3 meals and 2-3 portable snacks. It would be better to have a protein drink, an MRP, a protein or snack bar, a handful of nuts... anything rather than skipping meals. That plays havoc with your blood sugar levels.

Actually I do the same thing usually( 3 large meals)
Because sometimes I dont have time to eat small meals in between.
I gain size just fine going 3 meals a day.

I realize everybody pushes for the "6 meals a day" routine.
But you CAN still gain muscle off of 3 meals a day, as long as they are fairly decent sized meals.

If those 3 meals are too large, the body CAN store excess food as fat.
But the body can ALSO turn it into waste.....(depending on your metabolism)

If you have a fast metabolism, it'll probably turn into waste.
If you have a slow metabolism, it'll probably turn into fat.
(although it depends on exactly what you're eating)

Remember too much protein at once can do either of those too!

But it's also very likely that all that extra food can just sit in your stomach and actually not be digested for a while too!(which is a good thing, so it slowly feeds muscles)
Meats and steaks are notorious for keeping you full and not turning directly into fat(as long as it's not pork!)

Hope this helps.

As a general rule, continue with the eating routine you have. If you're concern is that those large meals may be turning into fat, just pay attention to you're body and keep an eye on the scale and see if you notice any changes!

Easy enough.

Depending on your metabolism...but still..
Eating too little will slow your metabolism and after a while u will not shed fat.
U have to "trick" your body
U HAVE to eat small meals spread out
Those big meals can cause some of the food to not be digested properly and get u bloated.
B nice to your digestive tract and it will be nice to u...

I make homemade protein bars and freeze them for when I'll need them... Easy to carry in purse and eat when you can't get a meal in. Nuts is a good idea, as someone mentioned... Can you not eat at all for long periods? If you can, munch on something to keep your blood sugars level.
