I am currently trying to bulk up. I am wondering if working out twice a day would hinder my bulking progress or overtrain me. Something I was considering was in the morning, 3 times a week, doing something for functional strength, like pulling myself on ropes, climbing trees, etc. and then at around 7 or 8 at night doing an actual bodybuilding routine.
Working out twice a day wont really help with bulking. Working out twice a day would help with fat burning and fitness etc. It encourages your metabalism to work more efficiently amongst other things.
you laugh at climbing trees but it is a pretty gud workout for your whole body :P
if your goal is to bulk up, just workout once a day, but with great intensity, short period of time and make sure you are eating properly and getting the proper amount of sleep.
make sure you get enough calories, enough carbohydrates to fuel your workouts and enough protein to help stimulate muscle growth
