    I'm no longer a toolbox!

    For the first time ever, my squats have surpassed my bench press. On October 9th, I could only squat 185x6. Today I was able to squat 225x9! Best I've ever benched at 225 was 9 reps and I'm only at 8 now. So now deadlift > squat > bench instead of deadlift > bench > squat.

    Actually a little more than that because it's 40 pounds and 3 reps. I never really took squats seriously until recently. This quarter I bought a notebook to keep track of my workouts. I had seen it suggested on these boards before, but didn't think I needed it. But it has helped me make steady progress in ALL of my lifts. Especially squats and deads.

    Thanks everyone! Everybody got some rep. My squats have been moving up so quickly lately that I'm always looking forward to leg day. Very fun to be adding 10 pounds a week. Although I know it's not going to last for *too* long.

    Great job! Doesn't it feel awesome to stack a little more weight on the bar?

    I switched over to the Squat Rack last week. I was expecting my weights to decrease, but I have been able to increase it each week.

    11/8 PR 305x3

    11/15 PR 315x5

    For a newbie (8 months lifting), I am pretty pleased.

    However, unlike you, my bench is no where near my squat.
