What's a good weight for a 14yr old to be able to bicep curl?

I can do 10*11.5kg on each side and used to be able to do 15*11.5kg (when I was working out more).

Seeing as I'm trying to be strong but not too strong in the upper body (I have sprinting and rugby to think of so if I do too much upper body it tends to slow me down...)

Meaning: My barbell 1 rep max is 71lb

Anyway, is this an impressive weight?

ya not impressive and also i dont like to use bicep curl as a good bicep strength measurment since its easy to cheat on...i like to compare preacher curl weight or another exercise that isolates the bicep well

You guys are way too harsh. At 14 years old curling just 50lbs is pretty good imo. This isn't strength world, this is bodybuilding/fitness etc. when I was 14 I never touched a weight in my life and I bet I couldn't have gotten the 20lb dbs for 1 thats how small I was. I mean I see 200lb full grown men that only barbell curl between 50-110lbs and I bet 110 isn't that good ethier? Grow up guys, seriously. Its not about ego, if your arms are making gains thats all that matters.

and for it to be impressive its about how big you are compared to what you lift, like if som1 is 15 and 6'4 200lbs obviously he should be doing more then som1 5'8 130lbs
    bulking to 150

Barbell max not dumbbell, if he's doing 25lb on dumbbells for reps, his one rep max barbell curl will be more than double that, I'd say 65lb would be more accurate.

bicep curls isn't the best way to measure strength because you only use 3% of your body as opposed to 70% for squatting. for measuring raw strength the 3 best gauging exercises are bench press, dead lift, and squat.

here let me give you an example. one of my friends was maxing 65 with dumbbell curls. at the time i maxed around 30 lbs but my max bench was 20 or 30 pounds heavier then his. anyways i ended up beating him in a wrestling match.
