No problem
I'm thinking of starting the anabolic diet, but first I want more information, especially about the effects it has on health. It doesn't look healthy on the first sight. I'm gonna check my blood sugar levels, cholestrol, testosterone etc before I start this diet.
I posted this on this section because I wanted your opinion (Scivation crew). You guys know your stuff

I'm not a 'saturated fat guy' either. But now I'm reading more about this diet (I'm also reading the book), I think I'll give this diet a try.
A question: HIIT cardio en The Anabolic Diet, do they mix??
- and doing cardio the first month following this diet, not a good idea?Last edited by f*cking ecto; 07-09-2007 at 12:55 PM.

You need to mix your fat intake sources of course.
I get one third of my total fat consumption out of fish oil & olive oil. At 200g a day that's 30g olive oil & 45g fish oil a day.
Those who question the diet: just try it for 4 weeks. You're not going to die from it, it's just food.
Will it work? yes. Will you like it? that's personal.

Still think this is a great diet. As I said earlier, it does need to be tweaked to individual.
Short carb ups
Long carb ups
Mid week carb spikes

Some ketchup
Broccoli or spinach less than a cup

After workout-
Protein shake usually ON performance shakes sometimes a quick bottle of muscle milk if I can spare the carbs .
If I am not hitting enought calories for the day I will take a shot or 2 of olive oil .

Your diet looks good to me, and you've got your percentages. I'd just add more veggies! Dietary fiber is not counted in the 30g and green veggies will be high in that and Fiber is realllll important when doing the diet.
Also don't be scared you just have to trust the science behind the diet and as long as you keep the percentages as you are and you will see results!

Will I get away with 11 days on induction phase?
I started the diet on a Monday and its more ideal for me to make Friday and Saturday my Carb Up days. I'm on the second week of the induction phase and I am thinking of starting my Carb up on Friday (which will amount to 11 days on low carb).
Will it affect me majorly or will I be able to get away with not doing the full 12 days?
