New kid on the block. I live in Tucson, workout at LA Fitness at the Spectrum Mall off of I-19. Just starting transformation. Was 325 in December, 39%BF, now 299, 33.7%BF. Any one else here in Tucson? Have hardest time finding a reliable workout partner.

Doing Kris Gethin's 12 weeker, which is extremely challenging for me. Actually having to add some rest days, since $200 foodstamps limits how much I can ingest. Anyone finding themselves having to spend 3 hours in the gym due to crowding?

mountainside gyms are pretty cush, then they have the usual 24, la fitness, ballys, etc

I go to the one in Chandler - which one are you talking about? The one on Dobson/Warner is older but has everything. The one on Elliot/Priest is new and not bad but they don't have half of the equipment I need so I have to alternate gyms.

I liked Mountainside a lot...the San Tan location off Val Vista and the 202 is nice, then I moved to chandler and went to the Alma School location a lot. Too bad there isn't one on the west side where I just moved too, I had to join la fitness again because of an extreme lack of options in my area.

Haven't been in AZ too long so trying to get used to things here. When is the best time to do some cardio outside? It gets dark here so fast and is still 90+ by the time the sun goes down so its hard to get some cardio in.

Just got stationed in Sierra vista... Will be here for 2-2.5 years if there is anyone else from Sierra vista. Signed up for summit fitness, it's not great but it's not bad as long I have my headphones in and ignore all the social people.

Get a membership at Platinum Fitness (formerly Golds). There's the midtown location which is ok, kinda small, then there's the east side on Speedway and the noth side (really nice) on Oracle rd. For me I like the atmosphere and people leave you alone when you go workout unless you ask for a spot. And to anyone else that comes to AZ, more specifically Tucson my membership lets me bring a friend so if you're looking to try out the gym, shoot me a PM.
