Loading and eating right in college...

I am in college right now and usually lift 4-5 times a week. I am trying to get larger in general and I have been trying to "load" but some days I eat only 2 meals or so, and a lot is later at night. I eat what I can which is what they serve in the dining halls. The real problem is that my abs are kinda getting ****tier, because i don't run anymore becuase i want to get bigger and am eating more. THis is probably because of what I eat and how much, but is it really possible to get better abs/go back to waht I was, while getting bigger? It seems like an oxymoron. Should I just keep on going and add protein shakes as breakfest if I am on the run? Also, how many meals should I eat? I know this is kinda mixed together but I'm tired. Thanks.

Some people can lose fat while they build muscle but if you truly want the musle don't worry about the extra fat that you will gain, its possible to lose fat and build muscle but its very slow, and realisticly not worth it. You really aren't going to gain anything eatting 2 meals a day, I know its hard while you are in college Hell I'm right there with you, but I get my 6 meals, Work some protien shakes in for more meals if you have to. real food is always better but what else are you gonna do if you can't get to it. be carefull about the running and cardio while your bulking, it just burns up the food you need to build. balance out your diet, work on at least getting food in you every 3 hours. There are a buttload of threads on here that you can read on people in college and what types of food are cheap and good for you.

Thanks, yeah I haven't been doing cardio at all really, except for a 5 min run to the gym on campus or walking ALL OVER during the day (I have to walk up a hill to get to my room.) Anyway, I think I am gonna try to get some coldcuts and chicken for my room and make more shakes. Thanks a lot for your advice. Anyone else want to comment it is much appreciated.
